Hi everybody,

It’s been a while since I updated this space… Hope all of you are busy completing your holiday crochet / cross stitch decorations… I just started a Christmas doily after finishing this Butterfly Garden doily which took me almost 7 months to complete… of course I was doing it very slowly, an hour a day only… I am really impressed with the outcome… I will come back soon with some of the Christmas ornaments I made last year….

My little one made this paper Christmas tree for a “Best out of waste competition” in school and he secured first prize for the same. Here is how he made this with step by step pictures :).... We got this idea from here.

When I buy plain T-shirts for my little one I do some cross stitch designs on them and he loves to wear those with his favorite designs. Couple of years ago I stitched a helicopter, a tractor, a train and a giraffe on his t-shirts. Last week when we bought a plain t-shirt I thought of stitching something. I love all those cute EMS designs and I showed him a couple of them and he was so adamant that I should stitch only the same old helicopter… I had no other choice but to listen to him…. after all it is his t-shirt and he is the one who is wearing it right ;)… so I stitched his favorite helicopter on his t-shirt… but I was so fascinated with the zoo animals of EMS (you need to sign up to get the patterns) especially the Lion and I really wanted to stitch it somewhere so I got his new off-white shorts and I cross stitched it there :D… he loved it for the time being as he is only 6 yrs and I am sure the time will come soon when he will stop me from touching his clothes ;);)…. Till then happy stitching J J J

Happy New Year everyone!!! Hope you all had a great Christmas and a wonderful start to the New Year

Yesterday my little one came back from school with the idea of making a Post Box to take to school and he asked his dad to make one for him… and dad very cleverly delegated that duty to me saying son your mom has all the artistic talent and so she will make a post box ready by the time you come back from school!!!! Both father and son gave me strict instructions to finish the job before they come back from office/school. After 6 hrs of thinking, scratching my head and toiling, I am finally done with a Post Box and really praying that he won’t come up with the idea of a Telephone Booth today :)… I got the Idea from Pat's Paper Projects…Thank God for the internet :)…

Hat Pincushion

Recently Nima posted a giveaway for the crochet hat pincushion pattern she created. Upon request I also got the pattern and she gave us the freedom to embellish our pincushion the way we like and post the finished picture in our blog before 15th June. I decorated mine with small crocheted flowers and gave a small border too. It was really fun to crochet this little cute hat pincushion.
